Unge kvinder i lederstillinger – hvad skal der til?

Denmark has the lowest proportion of female leaders in the Nordic countries, but it is not about women's motivation. Studies show that young women want to get involved in leadership as much as men, so what's going wrong? In this event, we focus on the barriers that limit young women who want and can lead. Talk and Discussion: The Historical Roots of the Wage Gap between Men and Women in the Public Sector

Historian Astrid Elkjær Sørensen and economist Stinne Skriver Jørgensen presents their project in which they examine how the wage hierarchy has developed for 13 selected professions in the public sector in Denmark from 1969 to 2019.  The goal is to get a better understanding on whether the wage hierarchy established with the Public Servant Reform of 1969 is still reflected in today´s public sector, and thus can be seen as a contributing factor to today’s wage gap between male- and…
