We know that confidence is generally lacking in many women (driven by societal norms/culture that are instilled from an early age, through to biological/hormonal differences, and even (in some cases) inheriting the wrong combination of confidence genes which can further add to the mix. Even successful women can suffer from a lack of confidence internally. However, no matter where you stand in your confidence levels, this can be altered and improved upon through training and self-evaluation. In this workshop, we discuss confidence with a gender perspective and also how important confidence is for career success and progression. We also discuss and share tips on how to improve your confidence and also improve your scientific communication. Three keynote speakers, including Lynn Roseberry from On the Agenda, Rector of Roskilde University Hanne Leth Andersen, and Professor Eva Hoffmann, present their insight and tips on confidence and scientific communication.
